Health appeal

The first ever appeal against a fine imposed by the Information Commissioner has been made by the Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. It breached data protection law by repeatedly faxing sensitive patient data to an incorrect fax number. The Trust appealed against the fine of £90,000 on various grounds, including failure to explain the principles as to the amount of the penalty.
