In addition to careers advice for law students and trainees, Karen Mason offers professional mentoring for qualified lawyers. This mentoring is centred entirely on the individual mentee and Karen will not try to push you into a particular kind of law or way of working.
Karen has enjoyed a 30 year career in law, working in law firms both large and small, and in-house legal departments for various organisations. She is therefore well-placed to give rounded, experienced feedback and advice to lawyers in many different situations.
Mentoring is entirely flexible and in some cases can consist of just one phone call or meeting. At other times a longer commitment may be needed – for example a weekly one-hour session might be appropriate over a period of rapid change or unusual stress, while a monthly session could be more helpful for support over a longer period.
At all times the decisions on what is required remains with the mentee and Karen will respect and work within the mentee’s preferences. For an initial chat (free of charge) please call Karen. All mentoring conversations and meetings are entirely confidential.
“Karen is professionally experienced, warm, approachable and knows what she is talking about. She can see the bigger picture. I would certainly recommend her to my legal friends/colleagues.” Confidential client 27/03/2015
