Sarah HughesSarah is a commercial lawyer specialising in social housing law and practice.

She has advised many local authorities, registered providers of social housing (Registered Providers) and individuals on a range of matters relating to affordable housing.

Sarah uses her knowledge and experience to provide clients with innovative, sound and commercial advice.  They also benefit from her considerable negotiating skills.

She regularly advises Registered Providers and other special purpose vehicles on all aspects of governance including key governance and policy documents and regulatory compliance.  She also delivers board training and development programmes.

A large proportion of social housing providers operate as registered charities or with charitable status and Sarah can advise new or existing organisations seeking charitable status.

Sarah’s broad experience and expertise means she can also advise on a wide range of commercial work including:
